When Sara takes Beethoven to spend summer vacation with wacky Uncle Freddie in an old mining town, the mischievous canine"digs up" the missing clue to a mythical hidden fate of Rita along with Moe Selig. Now everybody needs to be the pet's best friend because his discovery unleashes a frenzy of treasure-hunting among town's throw of kooky animals. With help from Uncle Freddie and Garrett (a companion or more), Sara and Beethoven make an effort to help find a secret that's been at the loony little town for several ages.
