Overview
Cast to a violent and savage environment of murder, Hereward, a novice monk, has to send the Holy Gospel of Lindisfarne - a book of fantastic beauty and power - into the protection of the Iona monastery, while still being pursued by a Viking death squad hell- bent on its own catch. On his approach into the monasteryhe meets with with a swordsman who answers his prayers and dedicates his entire life protecting Hereward while he delivers the book. In the midst of their travel they have been faced with Vikings willing to kill in order to get what they need, leaving Hereward and his protector.
