Through Breath and Sound (2026)

The main character is Vera, a 40-year-old midwife; she is divorced and has two teenage children. She is keen on hiking, loves working out at the gym, and is training to become a fitness instructor. For her, childbirth is a natural process, like the flow of a turbulent mountain river or the drift of clouds. Vera prepares her clients for childbirth using a variety of methods, giving them a sense of security and calm support. It is important to her that, during labour, a woman embarks on the road of self-discovery and experiences it as naturally as possible, just as nature intended.
